The Packard Motor Car Company was founded in 1899 by James W. Packard, William D. Packard, and George L. Weiss in Warren, Ohio. The company was a automobile manufacturer and its headquarters were in Detroit, Michigan. The last year they made Packards was 1958, however the Packard name wasn't dropped out of Studebaker-Packard until 1962. Although considered defunct, the company is still around and is privately owned by Roy and Barbara Gullickson. Their prototype and company was put up for sale in 2008.
