It merged with Standard Brands, Inc. in 1981. It merged with the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in 1985. The ready-to-eat cold cereals were acquired by Kraft Foods in 1993. In 2000, Nabisco was acquired by Philip Morris Companies, Inc. and merged it with Kraft Foods. In 2012, its parent changed to Mondelēz International.
It acquired the Shredded Wheat Company in 1928.
