The United States Rubber Company was founded in 1892 by Charles R. Flint in Naugatuck, Connecticut following a merger of eleven rubber companies. Its industry was primarily tires and its headquarters were in Greenville, South Carolina. It was located in New York City, New York for some time. In 1986 it merged with the B. F. Goodrich Company. In 1990, it was acquired by the Michelin Group.
