The Easy Washing Machine Company was founded in 1877 by Cyrus A. Dodge and Walter J. Zuill in Syracuse, New York. Its industry was washing machines and its headquarters remained in Syracuse, New York.

The company was acquired by the Union Chemical & Material Company in 1955 and the "Easy" trademark and washing machine assets were acquired by the Murray Corporation of America (acquired Union's share in 1957) The Easy Appliance Division was sold to the Hupp Corporation in 1963.
